Gundam is an internationally successful anime metaseries created by Sunrise Studios that features mecha (giant robots) called "Mobile Suits." The product's name comes from the common trait amongst each series, where the main protagonists' Mobile Suits name contain the word "Gundam." The Gundam series begun in 1979 with Mobile Suit Gundam and has continued with over ten series, over ten animated films, and countless manga and novels expanding upon the universe.
ThreeA's collaboration with Bandai for a Zaku figure has seen great attention at toy festivals in Japan such as Wonder Festival. Whether not more Gundam Mobile Suits will be produced has yet to be revealed.
