The short letter codes in these names come from the fiction's own organisation chart. The robots belong to units, and units have designations, so a figure carries both the finish of its faction and the abbreviation of its branch — which is how the range keeps dozens of near-identical machines distinguishable without inventing a new sculpt for each one.

It is also the part of the naming a listing most often gets wrong. A seller copying a name from memory drops the letters, or keeps them and drops the colourway, and the result matches two or three different releases at once. When checking a figure against a reference page, the sequence to verify is scale, then sculpt, then scheme, then the designation — in that order, because each narrows the field and the designation is the one that separates pieces of quite different scarcity.
