Talk:Popbot Universe
From threeA Wiki
Popbot Universe Page Needed?
What do you guys think, is there a reason for this page? I'm thinking that maybe it should be deleted and the Popbot (comic) page should be renamed to Popbot instead. We could get rid of the disambiguation page that way as well. TiredChildren 01:04, 12 January 2011 (EST)

Well the reason I created it is because the "Universe" pages (on WWR and AK as well) will explain the laws of the universe, timelines, etc... once we know more. This one I am planning to expand upon a lot once I get my Popbot books back from my friend who is borrowing them, etc... Guess I'll reconsider your question when I get there Ennui 02:48, 13 January 2011 (EST)

That makes sense. I guess the reason I'm asking is that my assumption is that most people who are visiting the Wiki are probably looking for info about the toys, and then the lore and comics come after that. So if they come here wanting to read about WWR toys, they'll click on the World War Robot link in the sidebar, which takes them straight to the page titled World War Robot that talks about the toys and the universe in general. Then from there they can click through to WWR Universe or WWR Books. But with Popbot, we have Popbot (comic), Popbot (character) and Popbot Universe, with Popbot (comic) filling the same roll for Popbot that World War Robot fills for WWR. So maybe we should rename Popbot (comic) to Popbot, and then have another page for the Popbot comic info called Popbot (comic). I just feel like visitors might be confused when they try to read about the Popbot world, and their main hub for that info is Popbot (comic) and not just Popbot. I went ahead and made the changes I was thinking about. I think this works a lot better for people who are visiting this wiki. Now the sidebar nav points to Popbot, which is an overview page for the Popbot toy line. From there, they can click through to Popbot (Comic), Popbot Universe or Popbot (Character). I feel like this fits with the overall purpose of the wiki, which is to provide clear information about the toys produced by threeA. Having the Popbot link in the sidebar nav point to the comic seemed to be putting the focus on an IDW product, rather than threeA. Anyway, I feel like this is a good solution. - Wish I saw your response sooner. Definitely a great solution for now. I'm reconsidering the "Universe" idea as well and will go over it in more detail later. Thinking you may be right as it settles in the back of my head. Thanks! Ennui 00:20, 29 January 2011 (EST)
