The Great War is a term used to describe the ongoing war that takes place in the WWR Universe. The term was coined by Darwin Rothchild in the extracts from his memoirs "Someone Had To Do It" as published in WWR Number Two. According to the last prose in the World War Robot hardcover, the Great War began on 1st September, 1986. The start of the war was initiated on the 13th of July 1986, when the Earth Coalition Foreign Minister Enrich Souille arrested Martian Foreign Minister Gustav Von Maghen in Geneva for "crimes against Earth and God."
