The People's Republic of China (Chinese: 中华人民共和国; pinyin: Zhōnghuá Rénmín Gònghéguó), most commonly referred to simply as China, is the country where ThreeA's Factory is located. Considering ThreeA co-owner Kim Fung Wong's background with ThreeZero in the early development of Eastern collectible 12" figures, it is no surprise that China also holds great cultural significance in the design aesthetic and history of ThreeA Toys. Although Ashley Wood designs ThreeA's figures, it is clear that he shares the influence and interest in the qualities of the medium that have developed due to the pioneers of East Asian 12" figure design.
Additionally, it is the combination of Ashley Wood's Western heritage and artistry and the Eastern design influence that, only together, create the unique aesthetic discovered in ThreeA's productions.
