The letters in front of one of these names usually describe the loadout rather than the paint. A figure issued as a launcher variant comes with a different set of hands, a shoulder-mounted weapon and sometimes a different head, on the same body as its plainer siblings — which makes the accessories, not the sculpt, the thing that separates two releases.

That has a practical consequence worth knowing before buying one second-hand. Loose accessories are what goes missing first: a launcher, a spare pair of grip hands and a decal sheet are small, and a figure listed by its full name but missing them is a different object from the one this entry describes. Anyone matching a listing against a reference page should read the accessory line as carefully as the colourway, because on this line the accessories are half the release.
